My love of animals began in my childhood; my love of sculpture began in college, where I also learned to cast bronze and took a degree in biology.
After traveling around the world, then teaching high school biology for a decade, I took up sculpture and bronze casting full time in 1995.
Flogiston Foundry is my small backyard workshop surrounded by the Cumberland Plateau at the foot of Sewanee mountain. I live with an ever- changing array of dogs and chickens, foster puppies and native wildlife, from all of whom I derive my inspiration.
